Ethical fashion is on the rise and we fully embrace that. Infiknit supports a movement towards conscious supply chain solutions.
We believe that it’s possible to create beautiful on-trend garments without causing unnecessary harm to the planet. Social responsibility is therefore an important part of our company culture. The environment, animal welfare as well as safe and fair working conditions for the people who make our knitwear are all a priority to us. Collection after collection.
Infiknit believes in cultivating long and close relationships with its factories.
This allows us to reach the best production quality, but it also ensures fair and safe working conditions for the people who make our garments. Collaboration is key. We only produce our garments in factories with a valid BSCI audit. This system helps companies to improve working conditions in their supply chain by making them transparent and fair.
We are committed to ensure the ethical treatment of animals.
Our knitwear is cruelty-free. Infiknit only uses yarns that are obtained in an animal friendly manner. And so you won’t find any angora or other rabbit furs in our collections. Merino wool is sourced from selected farmers who do not practice mulesing, while cashmere and mohair is obtained from farmers who conduct good animal practices.
We inspire a movement of conscious fashion by offering sustainable alternatives.
Sustainably is integrated into many aspects of our business. It starts already at the raw materials stage. Fashionable yarns are being sourced and chosen by us not only based on its looks and its comfort, but also on its sustainability. We develop several sustainable sample collections per year and strongly encourage our customers to make more responsible choices.
We promote The Better Cotton Initiative for better standards in cotton farming.
The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) aims to transform the cotton production worldwide by developing Better Cotton as a sustainable mainstream commodity with a scalable and holistic approach. By using BCI cotton we support BCI farmers, who use water efficiently, care for the health of natural habitats, reduce the use of harmful chemicals and respect the rights and wellbeing of workers.
Going organic benefits people, planet and long-term prosperity.
Conventional cotton is commonly used in the fast-fashion industry, but it has significant environmental impact. More and more brands are therefore shifting towards more sustainable fibers. Infiknit supports a responsible cotton production. We have sourced organic cotton that is produced and certified to the highest organic agricultural standards. Organic cotton farming does not allow the use of toxic chemicals or GMOs (genetically modified organisms). Instead, it combines tradition, innovation, and science to benefit the shared environment and promote a good quality of life for all involved.
We encourage our customers to use as little virgin material as possible.
Recycled yarns are made from waste fibers that would otherwise end up in landfill or rivers. We are offering recycled options in yarns, although the recycling may never leave a bigger foot print then it would not to use recycled options. Most recycled yarns in our collection contain a percentage of recycled cotton blended with other recycled material such as polyester, BCI cotton or organic cotton.
